Carbon emissions growth in the EU in 2010

According to the greenhouse gas inventory published by the EEA, EU greenhouse gas emissions increased in 2010, as a result of both economic recovery after the 2009 recession and a colder winter.

Less meat consumption, less CO2

Greenhouse gas emissions from foods eaten in the U.K. are the equivalent of 167 million tons of carbon dioxide, and switching to a vegan diet could cut this by between 22 and 26 per cent.
