Technical, legal, and public outreach aspects regarding carbon dioxide capture and storage (CCS), geological sequestration, both offshore and onshore; contaminant transport through soil and aquifers; international water law and transboundary groundwater resources; public outreach on environmental issues; climate policy; water policy, water rights, public outreach, international diplomacy and negotiations. Particular countries of focus include the US, Australia, Scotland, and EU. Specialties. Professional ship-handling experience working in the Gulf of Mexico.

Ms. Veronica Brieno Rankin is the Founder and President of GeoSeq® International LLC, a premiere independent consultancy, providing international solutions regarding energy-related issues.

*Clean coal experience includes participating in the evaluation of proposals submitted in support of the New York State Advanced Clean Coal Power Plant Initiative.

*Hydrogeology experience includes projects involving CERCLA, Phase I, II, and III site assessments, remediation of soil and groundwater, and site investigations involving nuclear sites, landfills, dry cleaning establishments, community-wide methane studies, petroleum sites, and active railway systems.
