ROCHDANE Saloua is a PhD student in Cadi Ayyad University of Marrakech, Morocco. Saloua’s dissertation research focuses on the Vulnerability, mitigation and adaptation to climate change in the Rheraya basin (High Atlas of Marrakech, Morocco): Integrated management of water resources. She completed her master’s degree (First class) in environment and dynamics of biodiversity (June 2008) with a thesis titled ‘Analyses of the WGII of IPCC Report, Vulnerability and adaptation to climate change’ in Cadi Ayyad University of Marrakech.
Saloua was a member of the organizing committee of workshop in climate change and adaptation in the Maghreb Marrakech 26-27 November Morocco. : http://www.ucam.ac.ma/ccam. She took several training research in environment science in the Von Humbuldt University of Berlin-Germany, Natural History Museum of Marrakech-Morocco, Toubkal National Parc, Club of Scientific Journalism Marrakech, Department of Systematic Botany in Uppsala University Sweden.
ROCHDANE is a member of the Club of Scientific Journalism Marrakech since 2003 and a member of the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP). She is also a volunteer naturalist in the Toubkal National Parc.
Rochdane represented Morocco in the World Civic Youth Forum, in Seoul (South Korea) is an intellectual and cultural global event where college youth gathered from around the world discuss and share their views and perspectives on the global issues such as peace, development, environment, human rights, gender equality, and culture. She chaired also the session “Pollution, Climate Changes and Sustainable Developement“ in the World Civic Youth Forum. Rochdane will participate in the training “gender and climate change“ in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia 15-17 October 2009
