Please summarise your areas of climate-change expertise (in terms of subjects and geographical areas)
I'm editor and Publisher of 'Rajput Rang' and leading an NGO called 'Universal Versatile Society' in India. We are working with schools and colleges to create awareness about climate change. We have project called 'Go Green' in collaboration with Red Cross Society under which we are emphasizing on tree plantation.
For my efforts in climate change I have been called to UNEP sponsored TUNZA International Conference at Bandung Indonesia in 2008.
Our newspaper circulates in 5 major districts in Maharashtra state and 2 districts in Karnataka state of India.

Mr. Narayan Vitthal Solanke is Founder and President of Universal Versatile Society and Editor, Publisher of Weekly Rajput Rang. He is working in social sector since 2005 and active in education, rural development and ‘Go Green Project’ in rural Vidarbha of India.
His contribution in PBL (Project Based Learning) through ‘CAP4SCHOOL’ (Computer Awareness Program for Schools) activity in collaboration with iEARN (International Education and Resource Network) molded him into well-known personality in area to receive State Level Teacher Award. Subsequently he turned towards rural sector to initiate the cleanliness campaign in different villages, made research on than and published a book called ‘Swacchatetun Samruddhikade’ which was published by ‘Gadgebaba Amravati University’. In 2004, he has represented India in iEARN-Slovakia International Conference. Further, he volunteered for poverty alleviation with United Nations Volunteering and International Poverty center to receive appreciation certificate. Since then, he turned to climate change issue to lead ‘Go Green Activity’ extremely well and received invitation for TUNZA International Conference on environment at Bandung, Indonesia which was sponsored by UNEP and Ministry of Environment, Indonesia. For his efforts in education he has been called to Education Project Conference at Bahrain, then twice to European Summer School at Leipzig University Germany. To raise the issues of local community he is publishing weekly newspaper which has now crossed the state level circulation.
For his contribution in social work, he has won awards like ‘Icon of Washim’, ‘Man of the Year 2004’, ‘State level Teacher Award’, etc.
