Yiannis Chrysostomidis is a freelance consultant and founding director of Sustainable Futures Ltd, based in London, UK. Yiannis’ work is focused on sustainability risk and climate adaptation. Yiannis brings more than a decade of experience in sustainability, business and management consulting and with in-house corporate roles.
Before setting up Sustainable Futures, Yiannis was a Principal Consultant with global sustainability consultancy ERM for 7 years. He led their climate risk and adaptation practice which he helped to develop over a number of years to a sizeable business. He
also managed ERM’s sustainability and climate change team at their London office.
Throughout his career Yiannis has worked with numerous governments, MFIs and a number of Fortune 500 and FTSE100 clients on climate and sustainability related assignments. He has extensive experience in managing and delivering large and complex projects for both private and public clients in Africa, Latin America and Asia in countries such as South Africa, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Peru, Colombia, Kazakhstan and Egypt amongst others.
Before moving into the consulting space, Yiannis worked for Baxter Healthcare where he had a
strategic sustainability role at European level and prior to that at the corporate level at Baxter’s HQ at
Deerfield, Illinois, US. His role at Baxter covered a wide range of strategic issues including sustainability strategy, climate and water risk and product stewardship.
