Please summarise your areas of climate-change expertise (in terms of subjects and geographical areas)
Efficient use of firewood and charcoal through the use of insulating materials and the construction of stoves and furnaces.
This is based on the concept that in west Africa and other less developed countries, the only source of energy for the household is wood fuel. About 70% of the population depend on it.

I am a ceramist by training and small enterprise promoter. I therefore advocate for the use of clay materials in fire chambers in domestic as well as small scale enterprises which use wood fuel.
The appropriate use of stoves and furnaces is to preserve the forest trees and also prolong the regrowth rate of the cut trees.

I am a research scholar and a teacher at department of political science, University of Delhi, India. Basically as part of my research , I am trying to locate gender into mainstream climate discourse. My study will assess the different impacts men and women face, how does it affects the gender relationship, how women contribute to the adaptation, how can they be empowered and so on... Since I am a political scientist my gender lens shall use power, patriarchy, constructed gender imagination, government apathy etc...
For your work , I must say that u are doing a commendable job... I wish u all luck in your further efforts...
Have a happy and prosperous Diwali....the festival of lights..
