I am particularly interested in (an opposed to) geoengineering technologies: large-scale intentional manipulations of the climate through schemes like shooting sulphates in the stratosphere and ocean fertilization. My organization has several reports on geoengineering at www.etcgroup.org. I am also interested in technology transfer negotiations and the question of what to do about technologies that are NOT helpful in mitigating climate change (eg. Biofuels)

I have been working at ETC Group (Action Group on Erosion, Technology and Concentration) since January 2009. We work on a variety of new technologies (synthetic biology, nanotechnology, genomics) mainly by producing research that is useful to civil society organizations and southern governments. My area of specialization is geoengineering and I have published several articles about that on www.rabble.ca as well as given presentation on the topic during preparatory meetings in Bangkok and Barcelona.
