Watching news this days has become a dreadful exercise.....and so is reading newspapers.....And I'm a journalist so I got to keep up to date.....it is easy to think that we are in the 14th Century where forests were in abundance if you are watching news.... You would excuse those who lived then for wondering why the heck conservation is an issue.Times have changed. Kenya's former president Moi hasnt. Hi Anne,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I have researched a lot about the returning decertifications in Kenya, and how they affects the human population.
As I want to relate the changing environment to migration I would like
to find a village or an area where some people are thinking about
leaving to find a better future elsewhere. Maybe migrating to Nairobi. I guess that it happens in several places, and it might be difficult to anticipate where and when. But maybe you can help in finding some. Or you might know somebody who knows many villages in the drought affected rural areas and could recommend a place.
Friends at InterClimate in Nairobi have suggested to me to go to the Kajiado region. Do you know that area? Could you suggest some specific areas there? Or any other place you think could be better?

Any ideas are welcome, any suggestions for places or any people I
could contact, any websites I should read, everything is useful!

Best wishes,

Estephan
