Good news about the new Southern African Science Service Centre for Climate Change and Adap... (Sasscal), which is intended to support cross-border research and land management. South Africa, Angola, Botswana, Zambia and Namibia have signed a declaration to launch this research centre to tackle regional climate change challenges - more at http://www.sasscal.org/. So how could this benefit the region? I am excited about the approach of problem-oriented research and evidence-based advice for policy makers and stakeholders. It will be wonderful as a boost for transdisciplinary research on climate change in the region.
