Roster of experts available for interviews with journalists

Some 'carbon sink' and other reforestation projects aim at planting huge numbers of trees, and the Foundation for Endangered Species supports all of these well meaning projects. However, not all of these potential projects continue the conservationist line as thoroughly as they ought: this is because some of these potential projects do not have an agenda for wildlife. Animals simply do not feature in some of their thinking or plans. Perhaps it is because of funding, other difficulties or a lack of expertise within these organizations?
For many environmental journalists these potentially animal free forests seem soul-less, even if these newly planted woodland areas fulfill all of the criteria as 'carbon sinks', areas of sustainable development, and are able to tick all the project reports' boxes.
I wonder what other journalists think of this...
